There’s a special something with school, not during classes, but when everything’s finally over. I wouldn’t be able to tell you exactly what it was nor what was causing it. Perhaps, it’s the peace, the quiet that comes from empty hallways and vacant classrooms. Perhaps, it’s the warmth, the smile of a setting sun on our humble home-on-a-hill. Perhaps, it’s both of those things, the satisfaction of peace and warmth as a reward for a day hard-fought, a job well done. Regardless of what the special something is, it’s almost always there, and it’ll always be appreciated and enjoyed.
