The picture above was shot in one of the many student areas within the University of California Los Angeles, otherwise known as UCLA. This particular university is considered a top university for many with U.S. News ranking it the 20th National University within the United States. This high ranking can be attributed to the wide variety of highly acclaimed courses within UCLA, with its STEM programs being among the best in the nation. Thus, UCLA receives a lot of undergraduate competition for acceptance, earning the title of the most applied to university in the nation. This phenomenon is no different in the CNMI; many aspiring seniors within this island apply for UCLA in hopes of representing the CNMI in a school with a population almost as large as that of our island. Although it may seem like a daunting university with a hefty price of tuition on top, with effort comes success, and these current seniors will soon find out whether or not they would be part of the 14% annually accepted.
